If animals could talk and had the same intelligence as in *The Chronicles of Narnia*, I imagine them sitting down for a nice conversation with a hot tea, like Lucy at Mr. Tumnus’s house. I would spend the entire afternoon in this boot-house, in the company of this charming little mouse.
For a long time, I sketched this idea: a boot transformed into a house, with a mouse sitting in the living room reading. At a certain point, I felt the urge to bring it into three dimensions.
The boot structure was molded from cardboard. Inside, the walls were made from hand-painted paper. The living room floor is made from paper clay, and the bedroom floor from coffee stirrers, as is the bed.
The remaining details of the house were constructed with fabric, wool, wire, plastic ceramic, cardboard, and wood—everything sculpted and painted by hand.
A special detail: the sofa took two full days to make.
The little house also has a door that closes with a simple cord, as if hiding a small secret inside.
Unique piece carefully made by Dina Cró.
