One of the funniest scenes for me in *Alice in Wonderland* is when Alice sits at the Mad Hatter’s table and the March Hare shows up uninvited. Among the tea, cups, teapots, and cakes, a little mouse falls into one of the teapots.
The teapots in this automaton were based on that scene, and the mice—in this case, I added an extra one—were made to spin and move up and down.
